Home of one of the largest "legal" handheld American flags in the nation! 

 

The tradition of this giant flag began in 1976. Since that time, this flag has traveled across this great nation and abroad! Making a showing at countless parades, conventions, military related events, and numerous types of  sporting events! 




For Honor and Country!


NERA - Oklahoma Sooner Chapter has always taken great pride in presenting the giant flag, for we are Veterans honoring Veterans! Every time the Red, White, and Blue is waving in the deep blue skies, being carried in a parade, or hanging as a backdrop. We are showing our respect for our fellow servicemen and women, who we have served with, while preserving the freedom we now share and relish! At the same time, we are honoring those who currently serve stateside and abroad! We salute you! 

 

As the giant flag passes by the crowds, we see that everyone is displaying feelings of pride, patriotism, and honor for our Veterans, country and flag! When a person places their hand over their heart, we know that they have not forgotten the true meaning of freedom!


Navy Creed

 

I am a United States Sailor. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me. I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world. I proudly serve my country's Navy combat team with honor, courage and commitment. I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.
